3 - 4 day cruise from $2,750* - A maximum of four guests

The 60 nautical mile sail to the Dry Tortugas National Monument is an experience you don't want to miss.

We leave Key West around 8 a.m., and it usually takes 10-11 hours sailing till we arrive. Along the way, we troll a line behind the boat and almost always catch at least one good-sized mackerel for our dinner. You can either spend the night aboard Tabasco or bring along your own tent and camping gear to stay onshore.

The next day, you can explore Fort Jefferson, lie out on the beautiful white sandy beaches, snorkel around the island, go on a SCUBA dive to one of the nearby reefs, drop a line off the boat to catch some of the plentiful snapper or just lie out on the deck to read and relax.

On the day we return to Key West, we leave a bit earlier. Everyone is usually worn out and just sets up a mattress on the deck to sleep.

Of special note, this cruise is extremely dependent upon the weather. We need a 3-4 day window where NOAA does not forecast the winds to blow at more than 15 knots.

* Price includes boat, Captain, mate and gear as noted above. Additional crew rates will be provided as required.
